This was our first weekend in Colorado and I think I overdid it, but I wanted to get some activities in before winter comes. Yesterday I rode up Lookout Mountain. I’m still not adjusted to the elevation so this ride was pretty tough with over 2,500 feet of climbing and a max elevation of 7,329. After this I came home pretty exhausted and went to bed early to get up at 4:10 to go hike Mount Bierstadt. This was a really fun adventure but way more difficult than what I thought it would be as well. I enjoyed doing it with a couple of my new Colorado Strava co-workers. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make it to the summit this time because some had sore knees and also I struggled with the elevation. I was hoping to do my first 14er, but still very happy that we got to 13,512 feet. Hopefully next time!
