About

This is my personal blog where I like to blog about technology and other interesting stuff in life.

Tonight I arrived in Washington DC to attend Agile 2007.  I came out early to go site seeing tomorrow.  I arrived at 6:30 and decided to get a head start.  The first thing I notice when walking outside of the hotel was the license plates.  Their slogan is, “Taxation Without Representation.”  I thought something sounded odd about this because it is suppose to be no taxation without representation.  When I got back I did a little research and did find out that the mayor decided to do this because DC does not have any representation in the U.S. House or U.S. Senate, but they have the second highest per capita federal taxes in the country.  I don’t blame them for trying to make a point.  I am just use to seeing the point on a bumper sticker, not the slogan of a license plate.
