So tonight I was doing my usually routine of laying in bed and catching up on some of my feeds when I hear a huge gust of wind up against my house. Not just normal wind, but something I would expect if a tornado was outside. I dismissed it. A few minutes late I hear engines roaring. WTF? I finally get out of bed and go upstairs to find a few cop cars. All of a sudden I smell smoke. Double WTF? Then a bunch of fire trucks show up a few seconds later. It ends up the guys house right next door is on fire. This is the same next door neighbor that died a little over a week ago in that shootout with the police on I94. Triple WTF? I was on my deck and a cop told me it was a natural gas leak. I don’t buy it. A few minutes later two more cops come to my front door and question me if people have been in the house. It seemed to me that they were focusing their efforts on the upstairs and if their house is designed similar to mine, there is not natural gas upstairs. Call me crazy, but I think there is more to it. On the other hand, I don’t know jack about fires. I will post pictures tomorrow if they turned out, however, I am sure this will be in the times.

wow, you might want to take tornado sounds more seriously in the future.
anyway…
bizarrely enough, i *highly* doubt that a natural gas leak would cause just a casual fire. your house would have rattled when the one next door blew up - if there was smoke in the air, and you said there was.
it sounds fishy to me too.
make sure you pass on the details when you find them out.

Triple WTF? You can’t triple WTF a double WTF. That’s just not right.
Anyways, I’m glad I live on the other side of Sauk where my neighbors aren’t shooting at cops or starting fires.

Didn’t upload the pictures because they turn out to be too dark. A cop stopped over today as he was questioning the neighborhood. As I guessed, they are investigating it as arson. I have a theory, however, I don’t think it is appropriate to put on a blog.

anyhow - for safety reasons…
if you wanted to put your doggies into the witness protection program to make sure they are safe, they’re welcome to come and hang with my dog. He’d love to have some new chew toys - i mean friends - to play with. =}
