Today when I got home from work I did the usual routine which includes checking the mail. Today, I got suckered into opening a loan offer. I usually receive, on average, 5 pieces of junk mail a day. The reason I got suckered was because the package contained bubble wrap!!! WTF? The amount of junk mail I get in a day has been getting me thinking about global warming and this one tops them all. This one was sent by Capital One, which I might add, has sent me the same credit card offer every other day for the past 1-2 years. No exaggeration!! I work for a company that specializes in marketing, however only the smallest amount of common sense, would tell you that if they don’t accept the offer after being pitched it 300 times, you should move on to a new candidate and stop wasting your money with the one that is not interested. Junk mail accounts for 100 million trees lost each year. By reducing your junk mail you can save approximately 2 trees a year and prevent 92 pounds of carbon dioxide from being released in the air. To reduce your junk mail please visit the following two links.

Junk snail mail….really, what is the deal with old school marketers? They need to move on, junk snail mail is so 1980s. In my imature college days I would return the postage paid envelope to those companies with stupid messages written on their own paper. Usually something like “ha ha, you just opened the same crap you sent to me!”.
