New ASP.NET Blogging Software

Today Steve sent me a link to some new blogging software written by Mads Kristensen.  After taking a look at it I decided to convert.  I want to use a .net solution so I can easily develop my own “plug-ins” by using User Controls.  The ASP.NET blogging application I have ran accross thus far reminds me of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.  I first tried Community Server which is the large bear.  Actually, more like obesity bear.  I then went to Presstopia which is the small bear.  I liked it however I really wanted categorization and tagging.  My new solution, blogEngine, is the medium bear.  Just right.  It has everything Presstopia has plus tagging and categorization.  The blogroll is the sweetest I have seen around as well.  My page actually shows the latest three blog post from each of the bloggers on my blog roll.  Not only that, people can actually subscribe to the feeds from my blog.  The only one that didn’t work was Kyle’s because he has “–” in his feed burner address which threw a .net exception when i tried to save the page.  I see that Mads actually released an update today to fix some bugs.  I don’t know how I am suppose to upgrade though because I have changed the pages a lot already.  I guess i will just have to take the User Controls I changed and do a code diff and upload everything I didn’t change.  I will save that for another day.
